James McCoy Taylor, a former contestant on The Bachelorette, has been arrested again on assault-related charges. The arrest is his second arrest tied to similar allegations.
According to reports, Taylor was taken into custody on March 20 on charges including causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint. Court records indicate the warrant stems from an alleged incident in April 2024. He was later released the same day on a $10,000 bond.
Authorities have not shared additional details, and Taylor has not publicly commented.
Taylor previously faced legal trouble in 2023 involving a 19-year-old college student. According to police, the woman alleged that after meeting at a bar, she went to his residence, where the situation escalated. She told authorities she withdrew consent, after which he allegedly restrained her, forcibly kissed her, and prevented her from leaving.
Text messages cited in reports included, “Please come get me” and “I’m not ok.”
Taylor later denied the allegations, calling the encounter “consensual.” He ultimately pleaded guilty in 2025 and was sentenced to community service, fines and anger management classes.
He was also ordered to have no contact with the accuser and banned from a local entertainment district.
The arrest comes amid renewed scrutiny surrounding the franchise, following the cancellation of Taylor Frankie Paul’s season after past allegations resurfaced.
