Ne-Yo is facing a negligence lawsuit from a delivery worker who claims his dog attacked her outside his Georgia home.
Dominique Bridgett alleges she was dropping off a package at the singer’s Alpharetta property on July 12, 2025, when the animal suddenly lunged and bit her leg.
“Defendant’s canine, suddenly and without warning, viciously attacked,” the lawsuit states. Bridgett claims the dog “mauled” her, leaving her with “severe bodily injury, pain, shock, and distress.”
The plaintiff says she did nothing to provoke the animal. She also alleges Ne-Yo, whose legal name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, knew the dog had shown aggressive behavior in the past but failed to properly restrain it.
Bridgett claims she has already paid $9,039.50 in medical expenses connected to the alleged attack. She is also seeking damages for future pain and suffering and “lost capacity for enjoyment of life.”
The seven-page complaint was filed in Fulton County and requests a jury trial.
The lawsuit does not identify the breed of the dog or provide further details about Bridgett’s injuries. Ne-Yo has not publicly addressed the allegations.
