Usher is laughing off claims that fans saw a body double instead of the real thing during a recent stop on his Raymond & Brown Tour with Chris Brown.
The speculation took off after Usher’s Aug. 7 performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where clips began circulating online and some concertgoers insisted the singer looked different than usual.
Usher quickly responded on the tour’s official Instagram page.
“Ya’ll are funny…clone?” he wrote. “They can’t clone this??”

He followed up with another jab at the theory.
“How ya’ll come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced.”
Usher’s response came after fans flooded social media with their theories.
“That was not Usher. That wasn’t a robot. That was literally just a backup dancer or whatever…and they just said: “ah fck it. Errbody gone be too high or drunk, faded or lit, whatever the kids say these days…btw…these kids don’t even know who Usher is. Carl get out there!” one viewer wrote.
Another wrote, “I don’t know why they do this. Just cancel the event your singer can’t attend. But, on the flip side, I’m glad they do do this because then they are just showing us how fake it all is.”
