The White House has slammed a recent report claiming that President Donald Trump is seriously considering a pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In a statement to Sky News US, a White House official claimed that there is “zero truth to the TMZ report, which we would’ve gladly explained had they reached out before running their fake news,” adding that Trump, “not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations.”
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was sentenced to 50 months in prison (four years and two months) with time served.

After the White House issued the denial, TMZ doubled down on its report.
“We stand by our story,” spokesperson Casey Carver said.
The news outlet then tripled down on their website, declaring, “The White House Communications Office is saying our story is not true. We stand by our story. Our story is accurate.”
This week, Diddy’s legal team filed a formal intent to appeal his conviction.
