Shahs of Sunset alum Mike Shouhed has reached a settlement with ex-fiancée Paulina Ben-Cohen, who will dismiss her assault lawsuit once all terms are met.
Last week, Pauls’s attorneys told the court the parties had resolved the matter. She plans to dismiss the case by December 9… just days before the two were set to face off at trial.
“We are happy to have worked together to resolve the final piece of these unfortunate events and move on,” Mike’s lawyer, Reza Sina, told Us.
Paula filed her lawsuit in March 2024 over an alleged March 2022 incident at their home. She claimed Mike yelled profanities, called her a “slut,” refused to leave, and “violently” threw her to the ground as her child was nearby.
“As [Ben-Cohen] was lying on the floor, underneath the clothing rack that had come down on top of her body after [Shouhed] violently threw her to the ground, [Shouhed] bent over her, struck her in the face, and then put his hand over her face and tried to suffocate her,” the lawsuit alleged.
Paula said she included security footage screenshots showing Mike continuing to assault her, suffocating her for six seconds and shoving her onto a bike. She claimed the attack ended when she screamed for the nanny, who asked Mike to leave. Instead, he allegedly retrieved a firearm before police arrived and arrested him.
Mike denied wrongdoing and later accepted a plea deal to avoid jail time, agreeing to anger management classes and community service.
Shouhed will not be filming for the show spinoff, The Valley: Persian Style.
