Jason Lee went head-to-head with Piers Morgan over Meghan Markle, accusing the British broadcaster of unfairly targeting the Duchess amid disturbing allegations involving her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr.
The Hollywood Unlocked founder challenged Morgan on a recent episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, arguing that authorities, not journalists, should investigate suspected crimes.
“I just don’t understand how everything goes back to blaming Meghan,” said Lee.
Morgan denied blaming the Duchess, asking whether she and Prince Harry had done enough after learning about the allegations in 2019.
Jason Lee: Every issue that your country has had with Meghan Markle in general is because she’s a Black woman. Your Queen literally was the side chick to the King. Piers Morgan: The idea that any criticism of Meghan Markle is racially motivated is so absurd… It’s bullshit. https://t.co/YtfltWCO4L

Lee, who shared his own experience of childhood sexual abuse, defended Meghan’s decision to distance herself from her father.
“She’s not the host of a network television show going out to find predators,” he argued.
The confrontation intensified when Lee accused the media of treating Meghan differently because of her race.
“Damn, the Black woman doesn’t ever get a break,” he said.
“What’s her skin color got to do with it?” Morgan asked.
“Color has to do with everything,” Lee fired back.
No Megan Markle slander will be tolerated. And I didn’t say the Brits killed Diana I said the media did. And did. https://t.co/Ns8YccIqiB

The dispute follows reports that Philippine authorities are investigating suspected child sexual abuse material allegedly discovered among Thomas Markle Sr.’s belongings.
Markle has denied wrongdoing, and no charges have been announced.
London’s Metropolitan Police is also reviewing how it handled a 2019 letter about the allegations.
“Why don’t we have somebody from the UK police department here?” Lee demanded.
Morgan maintained that his questions concerned accountability, not race.
