Texan rapper Erica Banks was forced to delete a tribute to deceased rapper, Rich Homie Quan, after fans called her out for being disrespectful.
Banks posted several photos and videos clips appearing to show that she and Quan had an intimate relationship, captioning the post, “All you wanted was to find happiness again… I always saw it in your face and heard it in your voice… But you had so much left to do…”
In the images, Banks is seen smooching with the Atlanta rapper and they appear to be happy together.
The tribute would have been sweet if Quan did not have a girlfriend.
Quan’s girlfriend, who is the mother of his daughter, was the one who found the rapper’s lifeless body on their couch. In a leaked 911 call, she revealed that she saw him on the couch in the morning before taking their daughter to school. She assumed he was sleeping and covered him with a blanket. Upon her return, she realized that he was not breathing and called for assistance.
Fans ripped Banks in the comments.
“If yall was a secret when he was alive, stay in secret when he die,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote, “Erica they not gone put you in the obituary sis . Please stop now ain’t the time.”
Even fellow female rapper Akbar V weighed in on X.
“I understand you might be hurt but baby girl delete those pics and videos out of respect for his family man … you was a secret and not saying what yall shared was fake but certain stuff should remain a secret cause here comes all The unwanted hate towards you that you didn’t even know existed… …think before you do stuff lil one…” she wrote.
