Dame Dash’s life story sold for $550,000, but the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder won’t receive the money because of his financial troubles.
Everlasting Films, LLC won the bid for exclusive worldwide rights to Dash’s story at an Oct. 1 bankruptcy auction, according to court documents filed Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The purchase includes approximately 100 hours of video footage, photographs, memorabilia, and rights to an unreleased documentary project.
The proceeds will instead go toward paying Dash’s creditors as he works through his bankruptcy case.
The sale represents a significant jump from Everlasting Films’ initial $37,000 offer. If the company fails to complete the purchase, backup bidder Doug Peters could acquire the rights for $500,000.

Bankruptcy trustee Traci K. Stevenson first sought permission to sell Dash’s life rights in August, arguing they held considerable commercial value because of his music industry career and connection to Jay-Z.
Stevenson said Dash had failed to disclose the rights among his assets.
Dash filed for bankruptcy in September 2025, reporting approximately $25 million in debt against just $4,350 in personal assets.
Filmmaker Josh Webber, who has been involved in a prolonged dispute with Dash, also accused him on Wednesday of failing to pay $4,408.20 in court-ordered sanctions. Webber also challenged Dash’s claims about royalties from the 2018 film Honor Up, whose rights Webber says he bought at auction.
