Brielle Biermann, the daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak, has revealed how she first learned that her mother was getting a divorce from her father, Kroy Biermann.
According to Brielle, she found out at the same time the rest of the world did.
“Unfortunately, I think they’re kind of going through it with me,” she said on Reginae Carter’s Heir Tiem podcast.
“For example, I didn’t know Kim and Kroy were getting a divorce until I read it on TMZ. I didn’t know we had no money. So, they’re finding out s–t online the same time I am.” Brielle went on to say she wished “not everything was aired publicly for them to see it.”
Kim and Kroy’s divorce battle has been bitter and fueled by allegations of abuse from either side. Brielle’s sister, Ariana Biermann, shocked the world when she revealed during filming Season one of Next Gen NYC, that her parents had spent all of her savings.
“It’s hard. Like I said, I didn’t know anything. Were there a couple of signs? Maybe, but not enough for a divorce. Like it really came out of nowhere,” Brielle explained about dealing with negative headlines.
“Not a lot of people know this, but I read the article in a Walmart parking lot, and my mom pulled up next to me, and she rolled down the window, and I’m like, ‘What the f–k is this?’ And she just starts crying and she’s like, ‘I didn’t know how to tell you.’”
