Comedian and podcaster B. Simone is seemingly walking back on her claims that she is suffering financial hardship.
After a livestream follower recalled her previously claiming she was “broke” in a viral podcast episode, B. Simone says she never used the word “broke” and also denied saying she was “penny pinching.”
The media personality went viral a few weeks back after she broke down in tears while speaking to one of her best friends.
“There’s been so much financial… just, my finances,” she said while fighting tears on her Let’s Try This Again podcast. “The budgeting—you see how I am, nitpicking every little thing. I’ve never been like that.”
She continued, “We were in Bloomingdales yesterday. I’m like, ‘We have to go to H&M and I notice it in me now, just nitpicking. I just don’t have it to spend.”
B. Simone was almost brought to tears as she revealed she’s so broke now that she has to shop at H&M instead of Bloomingdale’s.

She explained that her tight finances were due to her investing in a new app and in her new podcast.
“I have it in assets, I have it in jewelry, but it’s the liquid. I’m used to seeing a certain amount in my account,” she said at the time.
Fans disagreed with B. Simone’s recent denial, claiming that “penny pinching” and “nit picking” are the same thing.
