Wendy Osefo Shuts Down Ashley Darby’s BravoCon Apology: “And I Will Not”

Wendy Osefo made it clear she was not interested in accepting an apology from Ashley Darby during the Real Housewives of Potomac panel at BravoCon, creating one of the most talked-about moments of the weekend.

Fans had already been treated to plenty of tea-spilling, including Wendy addressing her recent arrest and Karen Huger’s attention-grabbing appearance, but the tension between Wendy and Ashley became the center of conversation.

Ashley attempted to address the situation publicly after her earlier comments about Wendy’s legal troubles stirred backlash. During a previous performance, Ashley joked that Wendy’s arrest was not surprising to her and added a line about “making melodies, not felonies,” which many viewers found insensitive.

On stage, Ashley said she had reflected on her choice of words and wanted to own that she had gone too far. She explained that her intention had been playful but noted that she now understood the seriousness of what Wendy was dealing with.

As she delivered her apology, she spoke mostly to the audience. Moderator Stacey Rusch gently pointed out that Wendy was seated beside her. Ashley then mentioned that she had tried to speak with Wendy before the panel but was turned away. Ashley then declared that her apology was sincere and that it was up to Wendy whether to accept it.

“I tried to talk to you backstage, and you didn’t want to talk to me. So, I receive that, and I’m simply saying what I have to say, and I mean it. You can take it or not,” said Ashley.

“And I will not. Thank you guys!” Wendy clapped back.

Wendy responded with a firm refusal, thanking the crowd but making it obvious that she was not ready to let the issue go.
