Tomi Lahren Claims Bad Bunny Is “Not An American Artist”

Fox News Host Tomi Lahren is facing backlash after she wrongly blasted Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance announcement, by claiming that he is not American.

On a recent episode of Tomi Lahren is Fearless, she claimed that Bad Bunny “is not an American artist.”

“He’s Puerto Rican… That’s part of America, dear,” left-wing political commentator Krystal Ball clapped back.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory with a commonwealth status. It is self-governing but subordinate to the U.S. Constitution. Residents born in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens and can travel freely between the island and the mainland without a passport. They, however, cannot vote in U.S. elections.

After it was announced that the NFL had tapped Bad Bunny as a performer, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem cautioned ICE agents would be “all over” the Super Bowl, while Trump said the following to Newsmax.

“I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they’re doing it — it’s, like, crazy,” he said. “They blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”

Bad Bunny has been widely critical of Trump’s ICE raids.
