Lance Reddick, the actor known for his performance as Cedric Daniels on “The Wire” has died, according to his representative, Mia Hansen.

He was 60 years old and police on the scene suspect that the actor died of “natural causes.” But social media isn’t ready to accept that an otherwise healthy 60 year old – in peak physical condition – just dies of “natural causes.”

There’s growing speculation – without evidence – that the actor may have succumb to something else.

Media Take Out decided to not re-post the conspiracies surrounding his death.

Lance’s “Wire” co-star Wendall Pierce paid tribute to the actor online.

“As talented a musician as he was an actor,” Pierce wrote. “The epitome of class. A sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here.”

Reddick’s rose to fame in 2000 on HBO’s prison drama Oz, playing undercover cop Johnny Basil. He went on to star in several popular television shows, including Law & Order: SVULost and CSI: Miami. He is most known for his role as Lt. Cedric Daniels on all five seasons of The Wire. More recently, he appeared in all seasons of Prime TV’s Bosch as Irvin Irving and Netflix’s 2022 Resident Evil series.
