T.I. is still ready to step into the Verzuz ring with 50 Cent, even if the feeling does not appear to be mutual.
The Atlanta rapper’s long-standing challenge resurfaced this week after hip hop historian NuFace shared a 2020 clip of T.I. on the phone with Kevin Hart, urging him to convince 50 to battle. In the video, T.I. confidently declares,
“I’m the king below the Mason Dixon line. King of the South. I speak for all of the Southern people.”
50 Cent quickly reacted in the comments, dismissing T.I. with a jab that reignited their back-and-forth. T.I. fired back just as fast, accusing 50 of avoiding the challenge and writing, “Get in the box or live in fear. You’ve lost my respect.”
Earlier this month, T.I. repeated the claim during an appearance on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco. “He don’t want no smoke,” T.I. said. “I called my man out. He don’t want no smoke.”
50 Cent, known for his relentless trolling, responded by sharing old clips of T.I. online and telling him to stop mentioning his name. For now, the Verzuz showdown remains unresolved.
