A suspect in the fatal shooting of Tomanuel Benson, the brother of Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta, was arrested in Memphis Tuesday night.
Detectives caught 28-year-old Randy Darnell Ewing Jr. who had warrants out for second-degree murder, criminal attempt second-degree murder, and a firearm offense.
RDC News reports that Blac Youngsta’s brother was fatally shot near a B.P. gas station in South Memphison August 18, 2023. Cops responded to a shooting at the BP station on South Parkway East, where Benson was found with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
When officers found Ewing Jr., he had a handgun on him. He was discovered on foot by a K9 police unti.
After Benson’s murder, Youngsta posted a message on his social media to his killers.
“I love U baby brother rest up. I’m gon make the world pay. I swear to God. Nobody safe. Standing over everything. [Middle finger emoji] everybody #4Life,” he wrote on Instagram Story.
