Whitney Rose and her husband, Justin Rose, are living separate lives after financial pressure gradually wore down their marriage.
“Financial strain took a major toll on them,” the insider told PEOPLE. “It was the contributing factor.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 39, and Justin, 57, have reportedly grown apart over time rather than following one explosive incident.
“They have been living separate lives for a while now and rarely see each other,” the source says. “There wasn’t one dramatic moment. It was a gradual breakdown after years of trying to make things work.”
The couple married in 2009 and share a daughter, Bobbie, 16, and a son, Brooks, 13. Justin also has three sons, Austin, Trey and Christopher, from a previous marriage.
Their financial difficulties have played out on RHOSLC, including Whitney’s investments in her business and Justin’s career changes.
Despite their struggles, the source says Whitney and Justin are working to keep their family at the center of their decisions.
“They’re trying to handle this with as much respect as possible,” the insider says. “Their children remain their biggest priority, and they’re committed to keeping things as peaceful as they can.”
Whitney celebrated their 16th anniversary in November 2025.
