Young Thug and Gunna were among the 28 people arrested and hit with RICO charges over the weekend.
In an interview a reporter asked the district attorney why white rapper Jack Harlow was not one of the people charged in the YSL crew arrests.
“The indictment’s got Young Thug, and a bunch of other rappers. But there’s one name I was expecting to see, and I didn’t, and that’s Jack Harlow. Can you speak to that?” the reporter asked.
“What I’ll tell you is that as large as this indictment is, I told my team, let’s not be sexy, let’s not overreach, let’s be conservative in our approach, which is always the approach that I take, and in taking that approach 28 defendants were indicted,” the district attorney said.
Jack Harlow and Young Thug are both on labels distributed by Atlantic Records. But Jack is signed to DJ Drama and Don Cannon’s Generation Now imprint and not YSL.
