Katie Ginella is officially exiting The Real Housewives of Orange County ahead of its milestone twentieth season.
The reality star confirmed on Instagram that she was not asked back after two seasons on the show.
“After two seasons as a cast member on RHOC, the network has decided to move forward with Season 20 without me,” Katie Ginella wrote. “While disappointing, it’s not entirely surprising after seeing how Season 19 played out.”
Ginella’s reduced presence during the latter half of the most recent season had already sparked speculation about her future. Still, she said she is grateful for her time on the show.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support I received,” she added. “It was seen, felt and deeply appreciated. Representation matters, and I’m proud to have shown up authentically, even when it wasn’t easy.”
Sources told Radar Online that the rest of the season 19 cast was invited to return, including Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador and Emily Simpson, as well as Gina Kirschenheiter and Jennifer Pedranti.
As for what’s next, Ginella hinted she’s not done sharing her story. “This chapter may be closing,” she wrote, “but my voice doesn’t end here.”
