Britney Spears’ younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears says she suffers from low self-esteem having to grow up in the shadow of her popstar sister.
“Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young,” she said in tears on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
“I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself,” she continued.
Jamie Lynn add that she is “extremely proud” of Britney’s success, but that she wants her “own identity” and “be seen as [her] own person” rather than living in the pop superstar’s shadow.
“I struggle with self-esteem all the time,” she confessed.
Jamie beefed with her sister earlier this year over her memoir Things I Should’ve Said. Britney was upset by many of the claims made in Jamie’s book and refused to invite her to her wedding. Britney also refused to invite her parents to her nuptials.
