ILoveMemphis is back in police custody just days after his release, following another chaotic encounter with authorities in South Florida.
The 32-year-old artist, born Richard Maurice Colbert, was arrested Tuesday in Plantation, Fla., after police responded to reports of a disturbance in a residential neighborhood. Officers say they found the rapper using his cellphone and posting online, which allegedly violated the terms of his pretrial release from an earlier arrest.
When police attempted to make contact, ILoveMemphis reportedly fled on foot and ran through several properties, entering enclosed patios and backyards as he tried to evade officers. Law enforcement locked down the area as Broward Sheriff’s deputies assisted with a helicopter and K-9 units during the search.
He was eventually taken into custody without injuries. Authorities have not yet confirmed what new charges may be filed in connection with the incident.

The arrest comes one week after ILoveMemphis was detained following a dramatic SWAT standoff that unfolded live on social media. During that incident, police say the rapper barricaded himself inside a home before officers forced entry and arrested him.
He was released the next day after posting bond and was facing charges including written threats and resisting officers.
Police have not commented on whether his bond status will change following the latest arrest.
