The 59-year-old bishop and grandfather is preparing to walk down the aisle with Dr. Cole, 37, a respected counselor, entrepreneur, and prophetess at a prominent church. Yes, there’s a 22-year age difference — and yes, the internet noticed — but supporters say love doesn’t check birth certificates.
Who Is Dr. La’Boris Cole?
Dr. La’Boris Cole is far more than “the fiancée.”
The Mississippi native is a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor and therapist based in Texas. She holds a doctorate in Clinical Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University and specializes in addiction recovery, trauma, and mental health treatment.
She utilizes therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy in her work.
Dr. Cole is the CEO and Director of Cole Associates & Counselors of Texas, PLLC, as well as the Restoration Treatment Center, LLC. She also founded the Born 2 Danz Worship Arts Conference, an initiative that blends mental health, ministry, and the arts.
In other words, she’s building both spiritually and professionally.

Marvin Sapp has long been one of gospel music’s most recognizable voices, known for hits like “Never Would Have Made It” and for leading in ministry for decades.
Now, he appears to have found partnership with a woman who shares both faith and purpose.
