Euphoria actress Chloe Cherry has been charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she was allegedly caught stealing a blouse from a store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The blouse was reportedly worth just $28.
“In December, there was confusion over a blouse that wasn’t properly charged to my client’s credit card,” her rep told TMZ.
A witness claimed the actress took a $28 blouse into a dressing room before leaving without paying. Chloe, a former porn actress, paid for several other items with her credit card, as seen in the security video footage.
Cherry reportedly admitted to the police that she took the blouse and returned it to the officer. “In no way did she ‘admit’ to taking the blouse, since that was not the case. This story seems to be more about a local store trading on a celebrity’s name more than anything else,” her rep added.
Cherry is reportedly scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 1.
