Elon Musk Will Resign As Twitter CEO

Elon Musk says he will honor the result of his Twitter poll after fans voted for him to resign from the position.

“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

More than 17 million users had voted — 57.5% of pollsters said Musk should resign. He later suggested that future Twitter polls could be restricted to paid users of Twitter Blue.

Earlier this month, Elon made headlines after he confessed he wanted to punch Kanye West after the rapper’s anti-semitic posts last month.

“At some point you have to say what is incitement to violence because it is against the law in the U.S.,” Musk said. “Posting swastikas in what obviously is not a good way is an incitement to violence.”

He added, “I personally wanted to punch Kanye, so that was definitely inciting me to violence. That’s not cool.”
