Things between Dr. Jackie Walters and Dr. Simone Whitmore escalated during the Married to Medicine Season 12 reunion, and this time, it seems host Andy Cohen was unable to save their 30-year friendship.
The strain became clear backstage when the two, who had shared a dressing room for years, chose to get ready separately.
“I needed Jackie; she failed to deliver,” Simone said. “I just wanted to be in a room by myself.”
The fallout stems from Jackie’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live, where she was asked about a dispute involving Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Simone. Jackie responded that both women “misinterpreted what was happening,” a comment Simone took issue with after footage of the incident aired.
“It wasn’t about needing support,” Simone said. “It was about right is right and wrong is wrong. If you continue a narrative that isn’t true, I have to look at you and your character differently.”
Jackie expressed remorse during the reunion. “I’m sad about it,” she said. “I don’t like thinking that I hurt her.” She added, “If I have betrayed you, I want to fix it.”
Despite the emotional exchange, Simone doubled down. “I can’t move forward,” she said. “Don’t want to, can’t do it.” She told Jackie to make a firm statement either way instead of trying to be neutral. Most viewers sided with Dr. Simone.
