Tragedy strikes again for reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter following a fatal shooting that took place over the weekend.
Anthony, the 13-year-old step-grandson of Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane “Dog” Chapman, died Saturday following an accidental shooting in Naples, Florida.
According to authorities, the teen was allegedly shot by his father, Gregory Zecca, Chapman’s stepson and the biological son of Dog’s wife, Francie Chapman.
In a statement, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it is “conducting a death investigation,” and emphasized the shooting was “an isolated incident.” No arrests have been made.
Officers responded to a 911 call described as “unknown” at the time, though dispatchers reportedly heard screaming in the background. The situation was soon updated to a shooting.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene, CPR was already in progress. Officers continued life-saving efforts, but the teen had sustained a critical wound to the neck area, just above the sternum, and had lost a significant amount of blood, according to the incident report.
The investigation remains ongoing.
