The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating producer Diplo over claims that he distributed naked photos of a woman without her permission.
According to reports, Shelly Auguste says the DJ distributed revenge porn for a second time after filing an initial case in 2020 and that after submitting the complaint, it has been “thoroughly investigated, verified, and submitted to the LA prosecutors.” She says he has also been hit with a restraining order.
Shelly says she was just 17 when she met the DJ who was almost twice her age. She alleges that after engaging in sexual intercourse, he gave her an STD.
Diplo denies the allegations.
“For more than three years, Shelly Auguste has been orchestrating an ongoing smear campaign against Wes—and this is just more of the same,” Pentz’s attorney, Bryan J. Freedman, told Pitchfork. “Now, Ms. Auguste is at it yet again,” he added. “But Wes will defend himself, and, just as he has done every time Ms. Auguste has defamed, harassed and attacked him and his family, he will win.”
There have been allegations against the DJ for years but he is yet to face any criminal charges.
