Diddy Preparing New Accusations Against Lil Rod After Court Win

Sean “Diddy” Combs is preparing to take legal action against former producer Lil Rod while continuing to fight his prison sentence.

According to AllHipHop, recent court filings show that Diddy’ legal team plans to file counterclaims against Lil Rod, whose real name is Rodney Jones, in response to the producer’s $30 million lawsuit. The filing states that Diddy’ attorneys are relying on “recent conduct and facts that have emerged,” though they have not publicly detailed what those claims involve.

Lil Rod sued Diddy in February 2024, accusing the music mogul of sexual assault, coercion and years of abuse. Diddy has denied the allegations. The case narrowed in March 2025, when a judge dismissed five racketeering claims from the lawsuit, but the civil battle has been overshadowed by Diddy’s criminal case.

In October 2025, Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act.

Prosecutors had asked for a much longer sentence, while federal sentencing guidelines suggested a range of 70 to 87 months.

Earlier this month, Diddy’ attorneys appeared before the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and argued that the trial judge improperly considered conduct for which he had been acquitted.

The judges appeared unconvinced during the hearing.

As the appeals process continues, Diddy’ legal team is expected to file its counterclaims against Lil Rod by June 30.
