D4vd Hit With Murder & Dismemberment Charges in Teen Girl’s Death!

Lyndon Abioye |

D4vd has been charged with first degree murder following his arrest in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose decomposed body was discovered inside the trunk of his Tesla last year.

At a press conference on April 20, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced that the singer, whose real name is David Burke, also faces charges of lewd acts with a child and dismembering a body. D4vd, 21, appeared in court later that day, where his attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

“There is physical evidence and there is forensic and digital evidence that we intend to present in court to prove these charges beyond a reasonable doubt,” Hochman said.

Prosecutors allege that Rivas Hernandez was last seen alive after going to D4vd’s Hollywood Hills home on April 23, 2025. Her body was found five months later, after police investigated a foul odor coming from D4vd’s abandoned Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard.

According to Hochman, the case includes allegations that Burke used a “sharp instrument” to kill the teen.

“My duty is not to fuel speculation,” LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said. “It’s to deliver justice, and that requires patience and discipline on everybody’s part.”
