D.C. Young Fly Says He’ll Be Grieving Jacky Oh “Forever”

Lyndon Abioye |

D.C. Young Fly says he will be grieving the loss of his longtime partner, Jacky Oh, after she passed away in May following surgery complications.

“Part of the grieving process is still — I don’t know, to this day because I’m still learning, I’m six months in,” he told Tamron Hall.

“This is a forever thing,” he added. “So I may feel differently in two years. I may feel differently in 10, but I’m just thankful that God allowed me to continue, you know what I’m saying? […] I understand my calling and I understand my purpose. The calling is, you know, I’m put here on this Earth for a higher purpose, which is to entertain the world but also show the world where it’s coming from.”

The comedian says prayer has been helping him get through this.

In June, Media Take Out confirmed that the plastic surgeon, who reportedly performed surgery on Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh before her sudden death, had a history of complaints from patients, with one alleging she was left “mutilated.”
