Brittany Cartwright felt “extremely betrayed” after photos surfaced of estranged husband Jax Taylor getting cozy with their former publicist, Lori Krebs.
The Valley star had reportedly questioned the pair’s closeness for years, but believed Krebs would never cross that line.
“Brittany had her suspicions for years but always trusted that Lori had her best interest at heart,” the insider said. “There were rumors about them for years and Brittany always brushed them off.”
Taylor, 47, and Krebs were recently seen together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, while celebrating his birthday. An eyewitness claimed they showed affection by the pool and told others they were “happily divorced.”
Taylor and Cartwright, 37, separated in 2024 after five years of marriage. Their divorce was not yet final as of April, and they share 5-year-old son Cruz.
The new photos were especially painful because Krebs supported Cartwright during difficult periods, the first source told US Weekly.
“She is sick to her stomach over it,” the insider added. “Lori was with Brittany through dark days.”
Cartwright has since ended her professional relationship with Krebs.
A second source said Taylor and Krebs only began dating after their respective breakups, insisting, “There was never a romantic relationship before that, despite years of speculation.”
That source added that Krebs “recognizes the pain this has caused Brittany.”
