Boosie could be headed back to prison after federal probation supervisors asked a California judge to revoke his supervised release.
The rapper, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was sentenced to 10 days of time served and three years of supervised release after being convicted of possessing a firearm and ammunition as a felon. Now, probation officials in the Southern District of California say he has violated several conditions of that release.
Court documents state Boosie, 43, picked up a new criminal case in Texas after an alleged incident at a Houston-area nightclub in May 2026. A security guard told investigators he was escorting a woman outside when he was struck in the head with an object and began bleeding.
The guard claimed that he turned and saw Boosie holding a broken hookah base, leading him to believe the rapper hit him with it and that the injury required eight staples.
A second guard also told investigators he witnessed the incident. Boosie left before investigators could speak with him, according to court documents. He later appeared in court and was granted an $85,000 bond. He is due back in court in September 2026.
Probation supervisors also said Boosie was in Houston without permission and tested positive for cannabinoids in January 2026.
“Unfortunately, the defendant has failed to capitalize on the opportunity afforded by the Court,” a federal sentencing recommendation states.
Officials are recommending 18 months in prison.
