Today Black Twitter took up a poll, to find out who is the most beautiful Black celebrity couple – and the clear winner was actor Morris Chestnut and his gorgeous wife Pamela.
The couple received an overwhelming majority of the votes, after they posted recent pics of themselves out on a date night.
Here are the pics that got them the win, over popular couples like A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, and Lebron and Savannah James.
In a 2014 interview Morris described the secret to their longstanding love. “I have been with my wife for a number of years now and the number one thing that keeps us strong is a mutual respect; that is first and foremost,” Chestnut told ESSENCE in 2014 of his rock solid relationship with wife Pam.
Morris Chestnut and Pamela Byse have remained together, despite rarely making appearances together save for some premieres and events. While Chestnut is used to being in front of the camera after being on TV and in movies since the ’90s, Byse has chosen to stay lowkey.
The couple met in a club in Atlanta long before Chestnut made himself known in the film industry. After dating for years, the two decided to tie the knot in 1995 and have since been one of the strongest couples in Hollywood.
Their mutual respect is to be credited for their long-lasting relationship. In an interview, Chestnut revealed that his wife had qualities he looked for in a woman and foreshadowed how great a mother she would be to their children.
Another reason for their successful marriage is Byse’s being understanding of her husband’s tight schedule. She is supportive, patient, and respectful towards his family, and for that, he couldn’t feel luckier.
