“American Idol” Laine Hardy was arrested Yesterday for allegedly spying on his ex-girlfriend who is a student at Louisiana State University.
Hardy was taken into custody and charged with one felony count of interception and disclosure of wire, electronic or oral communication.
The LSU Police Department was called to her dorm room at Azalea Hall after she was shocked to find a device under her futon bed…a VR-500 voice-activated recorder.
“The victim advised she immediately confronted him, to which he admitted to her that he left a ‘bug’ in her room but discarded it,” a police affidavit reads.
She told the officers she dated him from November 2021 to February. He confessed to the victim that he had been stalking her. She then showed the screenshots to law enforcement.
“Earlier today, I received a warrant due to allegations made against me and have been fully cooperative with the Louisiana State University Police Department,” Harcy posted on Facebook. “I understand that my career has thrust me into the public spotlight, and I embrace that wholeheartedly as my entire world belongs to my music and my fans.
