Warren Moon Believes The Raiders Have Plans For Kaepernick

Warren Moon thinks that the Las Vegas Raiders have plans for Colin Kaepernick to join the team.

Kaepernick worked out for the team earlier this week.

“[McDaniels] knows how to work with that type of quarterback. Maybe there’s a package of plays that he can put in that help the Raiders maybe in game time situations,” he said of Raiders coach Josh McDaniels. “If you look at the backups they have right now, they don’t have a whole lot of experience as far as game time,” Moon said. “So, I think it makes a lot of sense to bring him in and take a look and see what he’s still got left.”

Kaepernick is still desperate to return to the NFL and has even offered to return as a backup quarterback.

“Five years of training behind the scenes,” Kaepernick said on the “I AM ATHLETE” podcast. “You don’t do that if you don’t have a passion, and you don’t believe you’re gonna find a way on that field.”

“I know I have to find my way back in. So yeah. If I have to come in as a backup, that’s fine,” he said. “But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”
