Thomas Markle Sr. Reportedly Battling Dementia as Child P*rn Investigation Continues

Thomas Markle Sr., the estranged father of Meghan Markle, has reportedly been diagnosed with dementia and moved into a specialized care facility in Florida as authorities investigate allegations that he possessed child sexual abuse material.

The 82-year-old former Hollywood lighting director was seen Friday in a wheelchair, accompanied by caregivers in Lakeland, Florida, according to The Sun.

The outlet reports that Markle is receiving specialized dementia care, with sources suggesting his alleged cognitive difficulties could complicate the investigation. His reported diagnosis follows several serious health setbacks, including a stroke, blood clot, and the amputation of his left leg below the knee.

Markle returned to the United States earlier this year after living in the Philippines. His daughter Samantha previously explained that the move was necessary for “ongoing medical care.”

Meanwhile, authorities in the Philippines are investigating allegations raised by his son, Thomas Markle Jr., who claims he discovered suspected child sexual abuse material at their former residence in Cebu.

Markle Sr. has vehemently denied wrongdoing.

“I could never do what I’m being accused of,” he insisted in a recent statement. “It’s just a bunch of sick lies.”

Meghan, 45, has called the allegations “deeply distressing.”

Philippine authorities have obtained a warrant to examine digital devices connected to the case. No criminal charges have been announced.
