DJ Akademiks is siding with Keith Lee after 2 Chainz challenged the viral food critic over his restaurant reviews during a heated conversation about the food industry and celebrity treatment.
Reacting to the exchange on his livestream, Akademiks blasted the Atlanta rapper for seemingly dismissing Lee’s concerns about customer service and food quality.
“First rule of these things, don’t look emotional,” Akademiks remarked while watching the discussion. The disagreement centered on Lee’s experiences reviewing restaurants, including establishments associated with 2 Chainz.
Lee explained that his biggest concern was how ordinary customers were treated compared to celebrities.
“I sent my mom-in-law into 10 different restaurants. She couldn’t eat nowhere,” Lee said. “I go in table ready right now.”
2 Chainz defended the privileges that come with fame, arguing that entertainers naturally receive special treatment.
“I don’t stand in line at the airport. I don’t do none of that because I done worked my ass off to do this here, bro,” he said.
Akademiks wasn’t convinced.
“Very bad look for two chains if you ask me,” he reacted, accusing some famous entertainers of expecting favorable opinions simply because their businesses generate income.
However, Akademiks acknowledged that celebrity-owned restaurants can sometimes become targets for reviewers seeking viral attention.
“Shout out to Keith Lee,” Akademiks concluded. “He picked the supporters.”
According to the internet, it may have actually not been Keith Lee but another popular food critic, Mr. Chimetime, who gave 2 Chainz’s Esco Restaurant & Tapas the poor review.
