Shannon Sharpe’s former stylist, Russell “Hollywood” Simpson, also known as Hollywood Mugler, has made a cryptic social media post about his former boss’s ongoing legal drama.
Sharpe is currently being sued for $50 million by a former girlfriend who says the sports commentator and podcaster sexually assaulted her on two occasions, once in October 2024 and the most recent incident allegedly occurring in January 2025.
This week, Simpson shared a throwback photo on Instagram featuring Sharpe surrounded by several women.
The caption read: “See, when I was around, you never heard a single word! I had everything so organized,” accompanied by the song “Ran Out” by JT.
The post has led many to interpret that Simpson may have been alluding to him keeping some secrets of Sharpe’s personal life during their professional relationship.
Sharpe and Simpson previously worked together until their professional relationship ended in 2023. Sharpe has addressed their split on his “Nightcap” podcast, explaining that he returned to his longtime stylist, Shelly Davis, out of loyalty.
Sharpe also mentioned that while Simpson is gay, their professional relationship was based on styling only.
