50 Cent shared a video on Instagram this week showing Don Roberts, the 20-year-old accused of pistol-whipping Ross’ son, William Roberts III, thanking him after getting out of jail on a $50,000 bond.

“I appreciate everybody who believed in me, my family and my friends,” Roberts said while sitting at home. “I’m out and I’m innocent. The Lord knows I’m innocent.”

He then addressed 50 Cent directly, saying, “50, I appreciate you for everything you doing for me and believing in my innocence. Much love.”

50 Cent then included a cheeky caption, writing, “I had a strong feeling this brother was innocent, [eyes emojis] who snitching.”

The post followed the G-Unit founder’s promise the previous day to get involved in Roberts’ case.

“I got him he will be out tomorrow I’m sending @drewfindling,” he wrote, referring to attorney Drew Findling.

According to NBC 6, Roberts allegedly approached Ross’ son near Bethune-Cookman University on Oct. 11, threatened him with a weapon and struck him.

Roberts was arrested Oct. 16 and has pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges.
