‘RHOP’s Wendy & Eddie Osefo To Be Tried As CoDefendants In Upcoming Fraud Trial

Tiffany Brockworth |

Real Housewives of Potomac personalities Wendy Osefo and Eddie Osefo returned to court this week and after previously signaling that they wanted to split their cases, the couple stood before a judge and asked to proceed together.

The request was granted.

The Osefos were arrested in October after prosecutors claimed they staged a break-in at their home and later used the incident to file a series of false insurance claims.

Authorities say the items listed ranged from high-end goods, and each faces more than a dozen charges. Their arrests sent shockwaves through the Real Housewives fan community and quickly became one of the franchise’s most talked-about off-screen stories.

In the weeks after their arrest, both Wendy and Eddie submitted motions seeking separate trials and dismissal of the charges. Each argued that the circumstances around their arrests were improper, and their filings fueled speculation that they intended to mount independent defenses.

That expectation changed during their December 2 court appearance, reported by the What Else Is Going On podcast. According to the outlet, the two asked to be treated as co-defendants moving forward, aligning their legal approach instead of dividing it.

The court agreed, and the case will now continue with the couple presenting a unified front.

Their next appearance is set for December 19.

At BravoCon 2025, Wendy told the audience that she remains focused on staying grounded and grateful despite the scrutiny surrounding the case. She thanked supporters and emphasized that she and Eddie intend to keep pushing ahead together.

Real Housewives of Potomac continues to air Sunday nights on Bravo, with episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock.
