Lisa Hochstein’s felony case, tied to allegations she spied on ex-husband Lenny Hochstein, is over, and the Real Housewives of Miami star says the legal fight should have ended years ago.
The charge was dropped in court after a Miami-Dade County Advocate program counselor told prosecutors Lisa had completed the requirements of a pretrial diversion program.
Lisa, 43, had been accused of illegally intercepting communications involving Lenny, 60, during their divorce. Court filings previously alleged that she and Jody Glidden “unlawfully and intentionally” intercepted, attempted to intercept, or had someone else intercept statements by Lenny and others speaking with him in March 2023.
After the dismissal, Lisa told Reality Blurb that the case had come at a high cost.
“The Miami Beach Police Department declined this case more than three years ago,” she told them. “Yet the legal attacks continued, at tremendous emotional and financial cost to me and, ultimately, to our children.” She added, “I’m grateful this chapter is finally behind me, and I’m focused on moving forward.”
Her attorney, Jayne Weintraub, also welcomed the outcome, saying the charge “never should have been brought.”
“The Miami Beach Police Department declined to file the charges three years ago when these allegations were first made,” Weintraub said.
Lisa has denied earlier claims that she planted a “listening device” in Lenny’s vehicle. Her split from Lenny has played out publicly as RHOM remains on pause for season eight.
