Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing serious allegations after his former partner filed a civil lawsuit accusing him of repeated domestic violence.
Court records show that Dacoda Jones filed the suit in Dallas County on Feb. 16, alleging that Rice assaulted her multiple times during their relationship. The complaint claims the incidents occurred at residences in Texas and Missouri between December 2023 and July 2025 and resulted in lasting physical and emotional harm.
According to the filing, Jones says the alleged behavior intensified over time. The lawsuit describes a pattern that included choking, pushing, striking, and headbutting, along with claims that Rice threw objects and damaged property during arguments.
Jones also alleges she was locked out of their home overnight on more than one occasion.

The petition states that some of the alleged incidents took place while Jones was pregnant. She claims she suffered injuries, including bruising, swelling, and pain to her neck, face, arms, and chest, as well as ongoing emotional distress.
Jones is seeking at least $1 million in damages, citing physical pain, mental anguish, and long-term impairment.
Rice, 25, was formally served with notice of the lawsuit on Feb. 18.
The Chiefs organization and Rice’s representatives have not yet publicly responded to the filing. The allegations outlined in the lawsuit have not been proven in court.
Rice is currently dating rapper Rubi Rose.
