Mary J. Blige has sold a portion of her legendary music catalog to Primary Wave Music.
The company announced the agreement on Monday, confirming it acquired undisclosed shares of the singer’s publishing and recorded-music assets.
The deal includes beloved tracks such as “Family Affair,” “My Life,” “Mary Jane (All Night Long),” “Be Without You,” “You Bring Me Joy” and “I Can Love You.”
Financial details and the percentage of ownership transferred were not disclosed.

Natalia Nastaskin, Primary Wave’s chief content officer, celebrated the partnership and recalled becoming a fan after first hearing Blige on New York radio.
“For over 30 years, she has gifted the world with hit after undeniable hit and in the process has created the soundtrack of our lives,” Nastaskin said.
Known as the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary has sold an estimated 50 million records worldwide and released 15 studio albums. She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, adding to a career that includes two Oscar nominations.
