Reality star Mama June has been hospitalized after experiencing severe headaches and dizziness as of late. It is reported that as a precaution, her doctor chose to admit her to the hospital.
A prognosis has not been revealed.
Mama June recently tied the knot in March to Justin Stroud, who has been by her hospital bedside.
Her children did not know about the wedding.
“We didn’t know about it,” Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird told E! News. “I actually got a receipt in my P.O. box that said she had applied for a marriage certificate. Then I asked her about it just recently. She denied it. And then eventually she was like, ‘Oh, I got married’ and we were very, very shocked.”
Pumpkin was also recently given guardianship of Mama June’s younger daughter, Honey Boo Boo.
“It definitely did catch me by surprise because Mama was always one to say she would never get married. But I mean, my mom now, she’s definitely different,” Honey Boo Boo said of the marriage.
