Lil Durk Reportedly Punished for ‘Talking Back’ Behind Bars… Placed in Solitary!

Lyndon Abioye |

Lil Durk has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement at a Los Angeles federal detention center after questioning prison officials about repeated searches of his cell.

The rapper was transferred to the Special Housing Unit (SHU) at the Metropolitan Detention Center on Friday. Jose Rojas, a union secretary representing Bureau of Prisons employees, confirmed the move.

Sources familiar with the situation claim Durk’s cell had been “constantly searched,” although officers reportedly found no contraband.

Durk allegedly approached the deputy warden to ask why the searches continued. Sources claim the conversation resulted in him being reprimanded for “talking back” before being moved to solitary confinement.

The Bureau of Prisons declined to confirm the circumstances surrounding his placement.

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including housing assignments, potential disciplinary infractions, or internal security measures,” a spokesperson told TMZ.

The reported disciplinary action comes nearly two months after Durk was acquitted of murder-for-hire charges in September.

The Chicago-born artist, whose real name is Durk Banks, still faces felony racketeering and firearms charges.

His next trial, originally scheduled for October, has been postponed until August.
