Lenny Kravitz is alive and was not involved in Sunday’s deadly Florida plane crash, despite online rumors that the Grammy-winning musician had died.
The singer’s representative, Carleen Donovan, quickly rejected the reports, telling Variety they were “untrue and incorrect.”
The speculation began after a Learjet traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas crashed in Palm Beach County on Nov. 1, killing all nine people aboard. Shortly after, a screenshot circulated online featuring a purported message from pilot Emily Shelton about flying Kravitz along the same route.
“Looking forward to having him on board!” the message read, adding that his hit “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” would be playing in the cockpit.

Shelton addressed the rumors on TikTok, writing, “My heart goes out to all those lost and affected.”
She called for social media users to stop spreading inaccurate claims about the tragedy.
Among those killed was co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, who earned her pilot’s license while still in high school.
Federal investigators are now working to determine what caused the jet to crash.
