Kodak and his babys mother Maranda welcomed a son into the world yesterday. The couple chose to use a midwife with the delivery. But the birthing process was going so smoothly that Media Take Out learned that the midwife stepped aside, and allowed rapper Kodak to deliver the baby.

Kodak was recently released from jail, and it was just in time to be there for his son being born.

Mjae confirmed our report yesterday on Twitter.

We’ve also confirmed that Maranda and Kodak, who already have a daughter together, are really excited about adding to their family.

Congratulations to the happy couple:

For this interested, here;’s video of their first child together being born:

Kodak is an American rapper. He gained initial recognition following the release of his 2014 song “No Flockin”. Its success led him to sign with Atlantic Records; it was re-released commercially as his debut single the following year, and subsequently “No Flockin” marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 two years later.

His 2017 follow-up single, “Tunnel Vision” reached further success at number six on the chart and preceded the release of his debut studio album Painting Pictures (2017), which peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. His first commercial mixtape (and fifth overall), Project Baby 2 was released that same year and peaked at number two on the chart, also spawning the triple platinum-certified single “Roll In Peace” (featuring XXXTentacion). His second album, Dying to Live (2018) saw his furthest commercial success and peaked atop the Billboard 200. Its single, “Zeze” (featuring Travis Scott and Offset) reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, received sextuple platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and remains his highest-charting song.
