Kodak Black’s possession of cocaine charge has been dismissed months after the rapper was arrested in South Florida on charges of cocaine possession.
A lab test later identified the substance as oxycodone rather than cocaine and the rapper was freed “after a federal judge sentenced him to time served for a probation violation,” according to The Associated Press.
“Count 2 is now dismissed of Kodak’s ‘possession of cocaine’ that wasn’t cocaine case that should have never been filed or brought by the Broward State Atty Office,” Yak’s attorney posted on Instagram.”
“We showed them his script prior to filing, and they decided to file anyway… even knowing the officer was wrong about the substance and his story changing and making no sense. That case is now completely dismissed.”
Earlier this month, Yak went viral after claiming that he had heavily reduced his usage of percocets.
“I remember a point of my life when I was chewing a lot of percs. Bro, I’m proud of myself. I never been this happy in my life. I don’t know where this came from [or] what the f-ck is going on,” Yak told his fans. “I ain’t even gone say I’m anti-Perc — like I never took a Perc since I been home but bro my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself.”
