Kid Cudi and Ye are talking again after years of public feuding.
In a Sunday post on X, Cudi revealed that he and the artist formerly known as Kanye West are working toward a reconciliation after years of public fallout.
“Right now [we’re] rebuilding our friendship,” Cudi wrote. “I hit him a week ago to check in on him; today, he hit me to check on me. No work talk. Just seeing how I was doing. It was nice.”
Im sure we will yea. Right now were rebuilding our friendship. I hit him a week ago to check in on him, today he hit me to check on me. No work talk. Just seeing how I was doing. It was nice.

The two artists teamed up to create the 2018 album KIDS SEE GHOSTS, before things went left. Asked whether they might collaborate again, Cudi replied, “Im sure we will yea.”
During the opening night of his Rebel Ragers Tour in Phoenix in April, Cudi dedicated “Reborn” to Ye and told the crowd, “This one’s for Ye. We gotta sing this loud so Ye can hear you.”
Their relationship broke down in 2022 after Ye criticized Cudi over his friendship with Pete Davidson and said he would not appear on Donda. Cudi fired back and later told Esquire that repairing things would take “a motherf–king miracle.”
By early 2024, that outlook had changed. Cudi told Zane Lowe that Ye’s apology helped bring them back together.
