Chris Brown was supposed to perform a tribute to Michael Jackson last night at the AMAs but he was banned from attending at the last minute.
Breezy was nominated for Favorite Male R&B Artist and won…so Kelly Rowland collected the award on his behalf and put the AMAs on blast.
“Chris Brown is not here tonight, so I’m accepting this award on his behalf,” she said. “But I wanna tell Chris thank you so much for making great R&B music. And I wanna tell him thank you for being an incredible performer. I’ll take this award, bring it to you. I love you, congratulations. And congratulations to all the nominees in this category.”
Fans were upset that Breezy’s performance was pulled…including comedian Lil Duval.
“That’s f-cked up the AMAs canceled Chris brown performance. He ain’t did nothing wrong publicly lately that y’all can say is the reason,” he tweeted.
