Keke Palmer’s mother has clarified remarks she made during a leaked phone call with Darius Jackson alleging that Usher is gay.
Sharon Palmer says she made the comments to protect her daughter.
“The lie I told about Usher was to get Darius to stop abusing my daughter on account of his jealousy,” she wrote in a comment on The Nieghborhood Talk’s page. “So I said he didn’t like women for her SAFETY. “verything else I meant with my chest and ddidn’texpect anyone to hear it because recording me is illegal. I guess he is okay with jail but I knew that when he put his hands on my daughter. He is still abusing her in all of this, trying to paint himself as a victim. Textbook behavior.”
Sharon says Darius, the brother of Insecure actor Sarunas Jackson, abused her daughter several times. Keke was granted a restaining order after submitting photo evidence of one of Jackson’s alleged assaults.
